The SPC launches its Trees = Livable Communities campaign

• Arbor Day event, including link to Delaware State Botanist Bill McAvoy's address on diminishing wildlife habitats.

• Purchase your T=LC bumper sticker or magnet.

• Episodes 2 and 3 in the SPC Podcast series The Importance of Trees are released. 

• Become a Delaware Tree Steward through the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, June 5th-14th training.

• West Sussex: Help your organization or municipality apply for a Chesapeake Bay Watershed Tree Planting Grant.

• SPC hosts Cathryn Soriano, ​Environmental Scientist II, Climate & Sustainability Section, ​DNREC - Division of Climate, Coastal, & Energy, who provides information on the Trees for Every Delawarean Initiative, including a link to the website to help citizens avail themselves of this resource.

• SPC publishes a Case Statement, "The Urgent Need for ​New Forest Preservation Legislation," citing over a dozen sources. Download the pdf:

• SPC creates the survey of Sussex County, DE Residents, Importance of Trees in Sussex County, to be shared with County Council and Planning and Zoning.
