These experts also shed light on the ways in which trees protect against erosion and flooding, and the importance of trees as wildlife habitats.

Episode 3Chip Smith, formerly of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works responsible for overseeing the Army Corps of Engineers and environmental restoration/protection programs, projects, and activities is also a member of the Bethany Beach Landowners Association Board. He talks about how trees enhance our lives and properties in Sussex County, stressing the critical environmental and economic functions and services provided by mature trees.
